What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us. What we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.
—Albert Pine
The relationship between entrepreneurs and mentors is an invaluable element of the Venture Catalyst at ASU. The Catalyst mentor platform provides a personalized experience for both mentors and program participants. Catalyst participants can seek out mentors who match their entrepreneurial goals and interests, or can be matched to mentors by administrators through the system. Mentors provide critical advice to entrepreneurs, offering insight on business plans, presentations, financing and many other issues as they grow their ventures. Participants and mentors decide how often and in what format they wish to interact, with full support from the Catalyst’s online platform. Mentors and Catalyst participants are encouraged to interact regularly, and the online platform also provides access to message boards, articles and discussions.
As a Venture Catalyst at ASU mentor, you will have many opportunities to share your knowledge. Mentors can be guest speakers at workshops, serve on panels, participate in conferences, as well as other opportunities throughout the year. As an entrepreneur mentor, you must be a strong leader, an honest expert and a dedicated professional.
To join the Catalyst mentor network, please fill out this basic form below (please log in or register to view the form). Once accepted as a mentor, you will receive a link via email that will take you to the system. There you will be able to upload your public profile from LinkedIn or manually insert the information, whichever you prefer. You will also be able to set different levels of access to your profile by prospective entrepreneurs. The Venture Catalyst at ASU has developed a brief training module on being a mentor, as well as an overview of how the online platform can be used. Both will be accessible at any time through the system.
If you are you seeking a mentor, please visit the Catalyst Mentor Program.
